Precedents One is a document creation program from DIVORCEmate Software. It utilizes a checklist format to create a customized and comprehensive domestict contract (Separation Agreement or Marriage Contract). You simply select the clauses based on the needs of your client. Once selected, Precedents One combines these clauses, with your Client File information (dates, names, birthdates, etc.) using your own word processing software. Clauses are annotated in order to help you decide if they apply to your client’s situation. The result is a comprehensive domestic contract draft ready for easy completion and review!
The software uses “document assembly” which enables family law professionals to create better and more comprehensive domestic contract “drafts” in less time. These draft agreements are then reviewed, completed and customized using the lawyer's experience and drafting skills.
What is “document assembly” software?
- Document assembly software merges repetitive information into selected clauses in order to create a manageable “draft” document fit for a specific purpose.
